Our story begins with Mason H. Ross Jr., a visionary entrepreneur driven by a passion for
finance and a talent for numbers. Mason initially made his mark in the music industry as a professional
promoter and engineer, where he honed his skills while working with various music talents. Alongside
this success, he developed a solid foundation in tax expertise, thanks to the mentorship of Mr. Al
Davis.
In 1998, recognizing the potential to merge his financial acumen with his entrepreneurial spirit, Mason
founded Ross Tax Services. He expertly balanced his tax business with his music ventures, ensuring that
both avenues thrived while maintaining distinct professional identities.
In 2011, Mason took a significant step by partnering with Christopher Phillips to create Ross & Phillips
Tax Services. Following the amicable conclusion of their partnership in early 2020, Mason remained
steadfast in his vision to provide exceptional tax services, ultimately leading to the establishment of
Ross & Associates Tax Office.

As I reflect on my 25-year journey as a tax professional, I am filled with gratitude for the
foundational knowledge and principles instilled in me by my mentor, the late Mr. Al Davis. His patient
guidance, dedication, and the countless hours spent teaching me the intricacies of tax preparation
built
the strong foundation upon which I've built my career.
Mr. Davis's words, "If all else fails,
at
least I'm able to teach you taxes, period," have stuck with me throughout the years, motivating me to
excel and uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in my work. His influence extends
beyond
my technical expertise; he shaped me into the professional I am today, and his teachings had a
profound
impact on my life as an entrepreneur and a father.
The skills Mr. Davis imparted gave me not only a way to earn a living, but a stable and positive means
to provide for my children. He was the only father figure I ever knew, and his guidance inspired me to
be a better person and parent. Even in the face of personal devastation, such as losing my own father
at
a young age, Mr. Davis was a symbol of gentleness, understanding, and unwavering support. His heart
was
like gold, and the gold in my personal logo will always serve as a reminder of him and the invaluable
lessons he taught me.
As I celebrate this milestone, I want to share the story of Mr. Davis's mentorship and the lasting
impact he's had on my life and career. His legacy lives on through me, and I am committed to passing
on
the lessons he taught me to the next generation, just as he did for me. It is my hope to inspire one
of
my nine children to carry on his teachings, just as I have, in loving memory of Mr. Al Davis.
